The Comfort Box – A Gift of Encouragement & Hope

The Comfort Box is a thoughtfully curated collection of items designed to bring hope, encouragement, and comfort to those who have experienced the loss of a spouse. Each box carries a heartfelt message, reminding recipients that they are seen, supported, and not alone as they navigate a new normal.

Since its inception, The Widow’s Promise has provided Comfort Boxes to widows across the country, offering a tangible expression of care and compassion during one of life’s most difficult seasons. We are also excited to begin expanding this initiative to include widowers, with the first men’s Comfort Boxes now being distributed.

Recipients come from all walks of life and represent a community united by a shared experience of loss. Whether recently bereaved or further along in their journey, each Comfort Box serves as a reminder that support, encouragement, and hope are available.

Every Comfort Box sponsored, purchased, or donated helps extend comfort and connection to a surviving spouse in need. Together, we are creating moments of hope and encouragement—one box at a time.

To date, more than 100 Comfort Boxes have been distributed, primarily to widows, with the recent expansion of the initiative to include widowers.
